What you get/Time studies

Every cycle, not a sample.

A stopwatch study gives you the twenty cycles somebody had time to stand and watch. Manvis reads every cycle in the clip you bring, classifies each activity, and puts the timings in front of you to confirm.

A time study in Manvis. Every activity classified and timed, with the footage beside it.

What is in it

Every activity in the clip, in order, with a start, an end and a duration. Each one classified value-added or waste, and each waste carrying its type: motion, waiting, transport, over-processing. The classification sits against the frames it came from, so you are never asked to trust a number you cannot see the source of.

You confirm it

Nothing publishes until you say so. Open the study, work down the classifications, and change, split or merge anything you disagree with. That step is not a formality. It is where the study gets its authority: the timings are the machine's, the sign-off is yours, and your name is the one on the labour standard.

Check it the way you would check a new engineer. Take a study you already trust, run the same footage, and compare it line by line.

What it replaces

Two uninterrupted floor days that never quite arrive, a notebook that gets transcribed a week later, and a sample of twenty cycles standing in for a shift. The reason time studies do not get done is not that nobody wants them. It is that the only person who can do one is the person with the fullest calendar in the plant.

The same study read as a sequence, which is the view that shows where the cycle actually goes.

Bring one process you already argue about, and see whether the study tells you something you did not already know.
